Veterans Day this year will be a little more special to me, as I will be attending the 20 year reunion of my E Troop 101 CAV deployment to Iraq. It will be the first time that I will be able to attend one of the Troop reunions as I have always been TDY or involved in something else the Army sent me to that prevented me from going.
As you know, one of the events that the Civil Air Patrol participates in is the laying of wreaths at Long Island National Cemetery on the graves of all veterans. Wreaths will be placed on December 14th. This is a significant way to honor our veterans as well as support an organization that quietly helps protect and serve the citizens of our country. Please consider sponsoring a wreath or a few.
As I did last year, I will be placing wreaths at the Calverton National Cemetery. My parents, relatives and friends I served with are buried there and I will place wreaths on their graves. If you have a loved one buried there, I would be honored to place a wreath you purchase on their grave. Just let me know.
A portion of the donation is returned to our squadron to help support programs we run to include giving youth cadets their first flights at the controls of a small aircraft.
In order for the squadron to receive the donation credit please use this link:

Please let me know you sponsored as well.
Thanks!
