Beautiful gardens can be simple and rewarding. ❤️🌿

Dragon Wing® begonias are one of our favorite "plant them and enjoy them" flowers. They thrive in part shade, bloom continuously through the season, and ask for very little in return.

Whether they're spilling from a hanging basket or brightening a container, they bring dependable color all summer long.

☀️ Light: Thrives in full sun.

💧 Water: Water regularly while establishing. Once established, liatris is drought tolerant.

🌸 Blooms: Expect tall, fluffy flower spikes that provide weeks of vibrant color from midsummer into late summer.

🌿 Growth Habit: Upright, clump-forming plants that add vertical interest without taking up much space.

Some of the best container gardens don't follow the rules... and that's exactly why they work. 🌿✨

One of the things we love about visiting the Ball Seed Company is seeing creative combinations that challenge the way we think about plants.

Who says a container has to be only annuals?

Why not combine annuals, perennials, shrubs, tropicals, and even houseplants to create something truly unique?

At the end of the season, you can always plant that perennial in the garden, tuck the shrub into the landscape, or bring your favorite houseplant indoors. Or simply enjoy the combination for the season and try something completely different next year.

Every year, we get a chance to see the future of gardening. 🌸🌿

Last Friday, a group from Ebert's traveled to the beautiful Ball Seed Company near Chicago—14 acres filled with incredible flowers, exciting new plant introductions, and endless inspiration.

Each summer, Ball Seed invites greenhouse professionals from around the country to preview many of the varieties that will be available in the coming year. As one of our long-time growing partners, we're grateful for the opportunity to attend.

It's a chance to discover exciting new plants, compare hundreds of varieties side by side, and gather fresh ideas to bring back to Ebert's.

Of course... it's also hard to beat spending several hours surrounded by 14 acres of gorgeous gardens! 😊

Who doesn't love to wake up and smell the coffee... plant? ☕🌿

Okay, so you're probably not growing this one for its aroma.

But coffee plants are a fantastic addition to any houseplant collection, with deep green, glossy leaves that bring a lush, tropical feel to your home. They're also known for helping improve indoor air quality and are guaranteed to spark a few conversations when guests ask, "Wait... is that really a coffee plant?"

Give it plenty of love, and one day it might even reward you with coffee cherries containing the beans we all know so well.

Just don't spill the beans...

We can hear the fluttering of the fairy wings! Yes, they have landed! We have a delightful new collection of fairy garden pieces that we know you'll love! The Koi Pond is really cool, the detail on the faces on the mushrooms is amazing, and the "Wizard of Oz" looking tree takes you right back to that famous walk through the woods in the movie!
