Our dad would have been 98 years old today.

He lived a great life, loved the Lord, his wife and children.

I still think about things that he would have loved to see.

Happy birthday, Dad! Sure do miss you.

We have been enjoying all of these hummingbirds every morning for days now. Dan has 4 feeders up right now but we might be adding another one soon. We are thinking they are stopping by before heading south.

25 years ago, the world stopped.

Many of us still remember exactly where we were when we heard the news on September 11, 2001.

Today, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, the first responders, and the countless acts of courage and kindness that followed.

As a florist, we understand that when words are not enough, flowers often speak for us, offering love, comfort, remembrance and hope.

Do you remember the song 🎵 by Johnny Cash that goes like this “I’ve been everywhere, man. I’ve been everywhere?” That’s how I feel after the month of August.

Cindal invited me to travel with her to New York City. She had a business seminar but we went a few days earlier to explore. Our hotel room on the 31st floor was amazing.

not 2
but 3 broadway shows!!!

We walked almost everywhere. They walk fast there.

Trump tower,
Tiffany’s
Prada
Louis Vuitton
Radio City Music 🎶 Hall
Carnegie Hall
Beautiful Cathedrals
Statue of Liberty (from afar)

Walked, walked and walked some more. SO MUCH walking that my watch thought I had started a new exercise routine.

We also were able to see:

Rockerfellow Center
Grand Central Station
Times Square
Central Park
Flower Market
3 Flower Shops
Harry Potter store
Kristy Keene
Walked the Brooklyn Bridge
Canal Street

Did I mention that we walked a lot?

Cindal was an excellent host and tour guide. We ran out of time to explore everything

Would I/we go back again?

ABSOLUTELY!!

Hi my friends!
Farmers Market on the square this weekend. Ms Kathy Warnell will be there Saturday until 2 pm (or sooner if it's too hot for her). She will have canned goods, a variety of breads and cakes. Some customers call her the Bread Lady. Kathy is looking forward to seeing previous customers and new friends.

It’s been 5 years since our mother passed away.

So much has happened in that time. Some she would have loved to been around. Some I am thankful that she wasn’t around to suffer the grief.

These sweet memories mostly make me smile now. Of course, sometimes my eyes leak.
Blessed to have these precious memories within my heart. 💜
