Vulnerable post incoming. 🫠
I’m going to get straight to it, because I’m dealing with a flare straight from the pits of hell. 🥴 I’ve been dealing with some health issues for quite a while now.
I was diagnosed with chronic spontaneous urticaria last year (or maybe the year before at this point 😅), but it was treated more as a diagnosis than explored as a possible symptom of something bigger.
More recently, I was diagnosed with severe carpal tunnel and general neuropathy, which hasn’t been fully explored yet. More days than not, I’m dealing with some combination of pain, weak or numb hands, extreme fatigue, severe allergies and hives.
Basically, I think my body produces enough histamine for the entire community. 😂🫠
What I’m getting at is this:
My body is moving a whole lot slower than I, my family, and my business are used to.
I’m sharing this because it’s easier to tell the masses once than to keep explaining in individual messages when someone asks if their order is ready.
And please know, I want your order finished, too.
I don’t get paid until your order is completed. Believe me, no one wants to get things finished and into your hands more than I do. My bank account has actually been negative several times this year because of how much slower things have been moving. 🥴
There’s another side to this, too.
What I do is ART. I’m an artist.
These are pieces you’re going to keep forever. Pieces made from flowers connected to weddings, people you love, and memories you never want to lose.
If I’m not feeling good, I can’t show up, flowers to frame, the way I need to. I know the difference between simply finishing something & creating something I’m genuinely proud to put my name on. So on days at the shop that I’m just not feeling up to par, I won’t work on commissions. Because you deserve my best. You’re paying for my best. So please, don’t rush the art. Something’s are worth waiting for.
