👗⚠️ **STORING YOUR CLOTHES IN A PLASTIC GARMENT BAG?** ⚠️👗

**DON'T...at least not for long-term storage!** 😉

Plastic garment bags can be great for **short-term protection** from dust and dirt, but they're not the best choice when you're storing your favorite clothing for months or an entire season.

The biggest problem?

🌡️ Heat
💧 Humidity
🚫 Poor ventilation

When clothing is stored for long periods in a warm, humid area with little airflow, moisture can become trapped inside the garment bag.

And that's when problems can develop...

❌ Mold or mildew
❌ Yellowing or discoloration
❌ Musty odors
❌ Damage to delicate fabrics and embellishments
❌ Problems with leather, wool, and other sensitive materials

And here's the frustrating part...

You may not discover the damage until months later when you pull out that favorite dress, suit, or jacket.

# # # 🧵 WHAT SHOULD YOU USE INSTEAD?

For long-term storage, I recommend a **breathable, fabric garment bag**, such as a 100% cotton bag.

Cotton allows more airflow and is a much better option for storing special garments.

✔️ Make sure the garment is clean and completely dry before storing.
✔️ Store it in a cool, dry place.
✔️ Avoid damp basements, hot attics, or areas with large temperature swings.
✔️ Give your garments room to breathe—don't pack them tightly together.

And especially for your **wedding dress**...

👰‍♀️ Once your dress has been cleaned and preserved, follow the storage instructions provided with your preservation service.

Taking a few extra steps now can help protect those special clothes for years to come. ❤️

✨💎 **HOW MANY OF YOU LOVE GLITTER?!** 💎✨

My hand is definitely raised! 🙋‍♀️😂

I **LOVE the bling!** Give me sparkle, glitter, rhinestones, and sequins all day long! ✨❤️

BUT...

Glitter dresses have officially declared war on my sewing room. 😂
