We’re Baaaaack. Well, we never left, but took a social media hiatus.
The last 12 months have been a whirlwind of life and as a small business, a lot falls on me. We had a lot going on with our family, my father-in-law passed way. A few months later, our first baby, known as Chief Mood Booster and fur Baby, Sebastian, passed away too. I couldn’t gather the words to post on here. It was harder than I could have imagined. I was attempting to hold the fort down and it was blowing away.
It may seem weird to explain this is all on a business page, but I started this company to have more time with my kids and put family first. I remember begging, even asking for a reduction in pay at my last job, to have better flexibility. I swore if I had a chance to make a company I’d give it everything I wish I had. So that’s what’s been going on at Castaway.
After about 50 orders that were on back order, a lot of phone calls with egg on my face explaining why the order went through, lots of apologies, and learning, here we are. Thanks to wholesale orders, loyal customers, and custom hats this past year.
