🧵🪡We want you!!! To gain confidence designing, cutting and sewing four-way stretch fabric into your own custom summer top! CALLING ALL BEGINNERS AND INTERMEDIATES ALIKE!!! Taylor, our stretch-material-expert, is focusing on machine tension, choosing correct stitches and ALL the techniques that make sewing knit material *SEW MUCH FUN!* 🧵

💰$30 tuition/ 🕰️3hr class. Fabric will not be provided! We recommend sourcing a four-way stretch fabric secondhand from a charity shop- modern maxi dresses are OFTEN made from quality knit and provide PLENTY of fabric for this project while giving new life to a pre-loved treasure. ♻️

We always recommend to bring your own machine or whatever machine you’ll be using on your own at home. Every machine has its own personality (and even more personality after you collage it with Lisa Frank stickers!) Get to know your machine and fly away on your sewing journey! RENTALS ARE AVAILABLE!!! if you haven’t made the leap YET

Bring your machine, fabric, noted notions on registration site AND CREATIVITY!!! to Murray Hill this Sunday the 14th from 3p-6p as Taylor breaks down the lore of never poppin’ a seam AGAIN!

This week’s sewing class is lead by we are sewing a no-pattern beachy layer - perfect for when you just need a lil’ something over your shoulders! Bring and repurpose preferably an old bed sheet and you will be amazed with your custom summer look!

This class is for all ages and skill levels! Don’t have your own machine (yet)? Rent one of ours! We are confident you will be home-sewing independently after just ONE 3 hr class!

NOTE- Sewing classes will take a pause at the end of June and pick back up the first week of July 🧵🪡

We’ve been free closet swapping over here monthly for a year and ‘sum now ♻️ & want to remind *you* EVERY 1st Sunday of EVERY month from 3P-5P we are EXCHANGING up to 10 items per person for free!
Keep great clothing in circulation and meet others who appreciate thoughtful fashion without spending a dime!

We ask that items are free of stains, rips, excessive wear, or hair. An excellent rule of thumb is to bring only pieces that you would be *genuinely* excited to discover and take home yourself. To make browsing ideal, we encourage you to bring clothing on hangers, though we have extra hangers available for anyone who needs them. We provide the first slew of items from previous free swaps as well as items we cycle out of the store. Adult clothing only. Please leave children’s sizes, shoes and accessories for another type of swap!

We have made so many memorable connections in the community from this reoccurring monthly event and are so proud to sponsor a way to update your wardrobe for free while passing on items that no longer fit your style to your neighbors.

We are open daily and are swapping THIS Sunday from 3pm-5pm out front of the shop under the yellow tent! 💛 Everything out front of our shop under the yellow tent is included in the free swaps 🤘 Don’t have any items to swap but want to participate? You’re in luck! We are accepting donations for .potbikes in lieu of swapping items!
