Our buddy took 1st place at Canaan Valley Resort State Park in Davis, West Virginia this weekend! 🏆

And making it even sweeter, his buddy Mike Pauley was shooting a Bob Lee too and took 2nd place! 👊

A tight shootdown that came down to the final targets, with Randy coming out on top by just 5 points!

🏹 West Virginia threw everything at the competitors this weekend. Heat, rain, humidity and cool weather.

Randy Irvine's Bob Lee Hardcore P3 with Cobra limbs never skipped a beat. After starting Sunday six points behind, he battled back to win the IBO Traditional World Championship buckle and the Hunter Challenge in Vintage Traditional.

My passion for bowfishing continues to grow. I’ve wanted to shoot a good sized grass carp forever. When I finally found a spot to hit up a few weeks back I was elated to spend some time stalking through flood plains off the Mississippi River. That first trip out I got into some carp but had two good size fish that slipped my arrow.

Looking for a rematch I made my way out there again on Friday. The fish movement wasn’t nearly as good but as I was working the shoreline I saw this big grass carp feeding only a couple yards from the bank. I was also in luck because there happened to be a big wide tree right on the waters edge. I used the tree for cover to get close to the carp then peeked out from behind it to make a clean shot on the fish. Grassys fight harder than any other fish I have bowfished for.

The bobleebows Hardcore continues to be a faithful companion on all my adventures. I’m happy to announce that this will probably be the last fish I shoot with my barrel reel I zipped tied to my riser 😆. I actually used my spare hardcore to shoot this carp because sent my main riser back to the fellas at the Bob Lee shop so they could tap it for a bowfishing reel threads.

We lucked out last night and found this monster feeding out in the open. He knew something wasn’t quite right and started walking away. I was able to keep up with him until he got to the field edge, he offered up a hard quartering shot at 32 yards and I let it fly. I knew he was hit good, but watched him cover 175+ yards so we gave him some time. A couple hours later we found him about 50 yards from where we lost sight of him. I’ve killed a lot of pigs with a trad bow, but this one is definitely the biggest. The bobleebows 58” Diamondback at 47 # put a big ol Simmons broadhead in the important stuff and made for one awesome night!
