A little explanation for my summer away from the business. ❤️

Life gets busy. Sometimes really busy. And somewhere along the way, I realized I was running on empty.

This summer brought a few things I didn’t necessarily plan for, including surgery and a much-needed realization that my mental health was struggling, too.

My kids will always be my top priority, and they’re at such fun ages right now. I don’t want to look back and realize I was so busy trying to keep up with everything that I missed the little moments that make this season of life so special.

Burnout is very real, and for neurodivergent moms, it can hit fast and HARD. Sometimes your body and your brain tell you to slow down long before you’re willing to listen.

So I stepped back. I rested. I healed. I spent time with my family. I gave myself permission to breathe and recharge without feeling guilty about it.

There’s a saying, “The grass is greener where you water it.” This has always been a mantra of mine. I realized this summer I need to follow it significantly more.

Instead of constantly trying to make everything else grow, I needed to water the things that matter most—my family, my health, my mental well-being, and myself. 🌱

Taking a step back from my business wasn’t giving up. It was choosing to nurture what needed me most.

And honestly? I needed it more than I realized.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support me, check in, and patiently wait for me. I’m so grateful. 💕

It’s our first Monday of summer break.

While I was making breakfast this morning, my daughter walked into the kitchen, grabbed a random bowl, and headed straight out the door. If you know her, you know this is very unusual behavior, so I followed to see what she was up to.

What I found stopped me in my tracks: she was picking strawberries from our garden.

My daughter is AuDHD and has ARFID. She has a very limited list of safe foods and usually won’t touch unfamiliar foods at all. So seeing her willingly interact with the strawberries was a huge moment for us.

Will she eat them? Probably not. And that’s okay.

Sometimes progress doesn’t look like taking a bite. Sometimes it looks like curiosity, connection, and a small step toward something new.

This simple little moment absolutely warmed my heart. 🍓❤️ To most people, it was just a bowl of strawberries. To us, it was so much more.
