Off to write its next chapter 📜 🪶

This Louis XV style bureau plat desk has found its new home, and while we’re thrilled for its next adventure, saying goodbye is always a little bittersweet.

The larger pieces are often where everything begins for us. They set the tone, establish the mood, and become the foundation that we build the rest of the collection around. Every chair, lamp, painting, textile, and decorative object finds its place in relation to them until the entire space feels layered, collected, and cohesive.

By the time a piece like this leaves, it has become more than inventory. It’s been part of our daily landscape, inspiring countless combinations and helping tell the story we want visitors to experience when they step into our booth.

Then, one day, it finds the home it was always meant for, leaving us with a blank space and the opportunity to begin creating an entirely new story.

Thank you for giving this beautiful desk its next chapter. We can’t wait to start writing the next one.

We’ve been leaning even further into the moody academia aesthetic lately, and one of our favorite changes has been consolidating all of our literature into a single bookcase. 📚

To complete the look, we styled a study vignette centered around an antique LOUIS XV bureau desk adorned with a miniature (but not so miniature) David by Michelangelo, vintage trophies, inkwells, and a gemstone globe. This collection feels right at home in a well-traveled professor’s office or a centuries-old library.

There’s something so inviting about gathering well-loved books, collected curiosities, and timeless treasures into one space. Rich wood tones, scholarly accents, and shelves filled with stories have transformed this corner of the booth into a place that encourages lingering a little longer.

This Vintage Revival Louis XV-Style Bombe Commode is full of old-world charm, featuring elegant ormolu accents, graceful curves, a removable beveled edge green marble top, and quality dovetail constructed drawers.

Like many vintage pieces, it shows signs of a life well lived. There is some staining to the burlwood veneer that is consistent with age and use, adding to its character and authenticity. There is also a crack visible down one side; however, it does not appear to affect the structural integrity of the piece and remains solid and functional.

A stunning statement piece for an entryway, bedroom, dining room, or living space, this commode effortlessly blends European-inspired elegance with practical storage.

An exceptional 1847 Methodist hymnal, beautifully leather-bound and rich with history. The front cover is elegantly embossed with the original owner’s name in gold foil, surrounded by intricate gilt detailing, while the page edges shimmer with a delicate gold dust finish- a truly refined 19th-century touch.

Apparently our David has earned himself an official Dowager Disapproval. We were warned he might be “a bit much” for polite society… but masterpieces rarely blend in.

It is with the most bittersweet feelings that our first weekend has come to an end 🥺

While Leiva’s Curated began just a couple of years ago, the love behind it has lived in my heart for as long as I can remember. It started when I was a little girl, admiring the treasures my grandparents brought back from Europe… pieces filled with history, warmth, and stories I could feel long before I understood them. That feeling never left me… and somehow, it led me here.

We’ve always believed home should be a reflection of what you truly love… collected slowly and intentionally. Not just beautiful, but meaningful. Pieces with character, history, and soul that grow with you through every stage of life.

This weekend brought that belief to reality. We met incredible vendors we hope to stand beside again, and so many of you… familiar faces who came just for us (something we’ll never take for granted), returning customers, and new ones we already feel connected to. Seeing some of you come back more than once meant everything.

Your kind messages, photos, and support have meant more than we can express.

And on a personal note… I’m endlessly grateful to do this hand in hand with my mom. She never hesitated to take this leap with me, and Leiva’s Curated would not be what it is without her strength, drive, and unwavering support.

To our family, friends, and everyone who followed along this weekend… thank you. We’re so grateful you’re here 🤍

We are beyond exhausted (full-time jobs and all), but our hearts are so full. This weekend was unforgettable… and we would do it all over again.
