We are taking the day to celebrate the life, and mourn the passing, of our friend and colleague Jamie Armstrong.
If you’re a customer of ours you will have remembered Jamie at our Edgewood location, at his standing desk directly in view of the front door. I doubt it was an accident that he placed himself there. Most of us like to be behind the counter so we have a second or two to notice a customer walking up so we can prepare ourselves to be pleasant and helpful. Jamie didn’t need any preparation. He greeted whoever came through that door immediately the same way he greeted everything in life; with enthusiasm, good will, compassion, and curiosity.
You may see an employee, friend, or customer using that space in the future for small moments of time. But no one will ever fill the space the way he did. We miss him deeply.
