Our sweet little birthday cowgirl celebrated her 4th birthday with the cutest western-themed party at The Story Nook! 💕

And while we're talking birthday parties... can we talk about something for a minute?

Imagine this...

🎉 YOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY TO-DO LIST:

✅ Contact Emily at The Story Nook.

✅ Choose your party date.

✅ Invite your guests.

✅ Bring your food and drinks. (Seriously, it can be cake and juice boxes, pizza delivery, or whatever your heart desires!)

THAT. IS. IT. 😱

Can you imagine?!

On party day, you show up a few minutes early with your food. You welcome your guests. You visit with friends and family. You watch your child having the BEST time. You take pictures. You make memories.

And when the party is over?

YOU. JUST. LEAVE. 🤯

No cleanup. No hauling decorations home. No exhausted parent staring at a disaster afterward.

Now, let's imagine planning that same birthday party yourself...

😅 THE DIY BIRTHDAY PARTY CHECKLIST:

☐ Pick a date.

☐ Buy the plates, napkins, forks, cups, tablecloths, balloons, and decorations. (Those little party supplies add up FAST!) 💸

☐ Panic-clean the house and pray it stays clean until party time. OR rent a separate venue. 💸

☐ Find enough tables and chairs. Do you own enough? Need to borrow or rent some?

☐ Decorate everything yourself. (Bonus points if you're fighting the wind or racing a 30-minute setup window at a rental space! 🤣)

☐ Plan and provide the food.

☐ Figure out how to entertain a room full of excited children. Buy supplies for games, crafts, and activities. 💸

☐ Spend the entire party running around serving cake, organizing games, keeping everyone entertained, and wondering...

DID I EVEN TAKE ANY PICTURES?! WHERE DID SALLY GO?! 😳

☐ Wave goodbye to the last guest.

☐ Look around at the aftermath.

☐ Clean. Everything. Up.

WHEW!!! I'm tired just typing that! 🤣

Now, don't get me wrong. There is absolutely nothing wrong with throwing a birthday party yourself!

But if you could skip all that work and actually spend your child's birthday celebrating WITH them instead of working through it...

🍄🧚‍♀️✨ A little spooky, a little whimsical, and a WHOLE lot of fairy magic!

Today, The Story Nook Cottage was filled with creativity, laughter, and a touch of enchantment as we brought our very own spooky fairy cottages to life! 🖤

From mossy rooftops and tiny mushrooms to the sweetest little woodland details, no two cottages were quite alike! And that's my favorite part of these workshops... watching everyone's imagination take something simple and turn it into something wonderfully their own. 🥹🍂

Thank you to everyone who spent part of their Sunday creating a little magic with us! There's just something special about gathering around a table, making something with your hands, and enjoying good company. ❤️

A little creativity, a little community, and a whole lot of magic. ✨

A very special bear is turning 100! 🥹🍯

This year marks 100 years since the publication of Winnie-the-Pooh, and we think a trip to the Hundred Acre Wood is definitely in order!

Join us for a special Winnie-the-Pooh Birthday Storytime as we celebrate a century of Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore and all their wonderful adventures. ❤️
