I was trying to figure out how many feet of hand stitching I’ve done over the years. I quickly realized it was miles, not feet. I hope it doesn’t take miles on this machine to gain some confidence in my ability to be consistent. If it does end up being miles, I will get there way faster than hand stitching miles.

Another beautiful Buttero briefcase. This black and cognac color combination is amazing. Behind the bag is about a 20 foot drop to the Chicago river. In front of the bag is a guy taking very fast pictures.

Getting a little caught up on a few most recent projects. I have fallen in love with this Buttero leather from walpier leather. A few more bags to finish then taking some time off from big projects for a while.

It’s been a while since someone asked me to make a roper wallet. I like making them so here we are. I went to the leather store and came across this Virgilio Vachetta. I can’t say enough about this stuff. Beautiful new and will only get better with age. I knew it would be perfect. I finished the inside with some kangaroo because kangaroo wears like iron so the Vachetta will have plenty of time to age.

Here is a little backpack in purple and black. As usual, it took way longer than it should have. Moving forward, I’m hoping to have fewer large home projects and I think my kids are all done graduating so more time for leather. Enjoy.

It’s been a while since I finished off a knife in a unique way. Here we have a blade made for me a few years back by B.S custom blades out of Arkansas. It is sporting walnut burl scales and a nice sharp edge. To finish it off I made a custom sheath with raised ostrich leg inlay. After i stitched it all together by hand and give it one more waxing I’ll take it to the post office and send it off to hopefully a very pleased customer.
