How is it August already flower friends!? We have a busy week and have some announcements of what's going on!

Yesterday we brought the kids to the Freeborn County Fair, Albert Lea, MN to enter some of our flowers. So if you head to the flower building keep an eye out for some of our entries! Sorry to anyone who witnessed our children running wild while we got things organized. 🙃

3rd week of subscriptions are this Thursday! Ive been spending all my profits on Lush Cakes breakfast sandwiches when I drop off😅 they are so good!

We are sad to say due to a lack of tickets sold, we will be cancelling the Margaret's Pub- Easton event for this year. We probably should have been more strategic of doing an event the weekend of the fair! We will have our Indian Island Winery on Saturday @ 3! There is a limited about of tickets available for this one. We have a fun crew already signed up and I can't wait. Link below if you want to join!

We do plan on being at the Albert Lea Farmers Market this Saturday. We will post our for sure plan Friday!

Not a flower related, but a feel good story that I wanted to share!

Back in July 2017, my husband Mitch was in a life changing cycling accident. He had just started racing bikes, and was doing a Tuesday night road ride. During the ride on a country road, he swerved to avoid  debris in the road, ended up losing control and fell into the other lane where he was hit by a car. One of the many injuries he had was he severed his femoral artery in his right leg. One of the other riders had the expertise to packed the wound and keep him from bleeding out. (First person to help save his life 🙏🏻) They flew a helicopter from the cities to the scene. Unfortunately the helicopter had  mechanical issues and wouldn’t start. Thankfully they had enough blood to help get him by ambulance to Mankato and then off to Rochester. He ended up receiving  14-17 units of blood! 😱 over 30 broken bones including a collar bone, shattered tailbone, broken back, pelvis and dislocated femur. Thanks to his helmet, that saved him too! He was in rough shape and had a terribly long hard recovery. Not only did they not know if he would survive, but if he did if he would have walk again. With some major help and support from family and friends, and some crazy physical and mental strength he has come so far! Fast forward 9 years and I know his family and friends were never thinking he would be back on his bike like this again 😱. And here is is, after finishing a 240 mile race riding across Minnesota and placing 2nd 🤩. The Day Across Minnesota At 12am this morning he left from Gary, South Dakota, and end in Hager City, Wisconsin. About 13 hours and 20 minutes of riding! It’s an absolute miracle. This guy has been THROUGH IT. And everyday is a battle with aches and pains he will deal with forever. Some days are worse than others. He may have mentioned he wished he could amputate his foot after he was done racing 🥴 but considering, he was feeling pretty good!

I love to talk about his story because I feel like he is such an inspiration and I am so proud of him! I hope someone reading this who struggles can be inspired by him. He is proof how far support, determination and prayer can get you 🩷 it was so fun to surprise him at the finish line today! Love you Mitch!

Or attended one of our local events! There won’t be the art but you can take your flowers home and do your own!
