Between planting and seeding the new field of trees, we replanted 2nd and 3rd year fields, replacing trees that didn’t survive. Some replants are bare-root (depends on variety) and some are called Ellepots, with soil around the roots . The video shows Gary with an auger making holes for the replacement trees. Photo of some of the last Ellepots planted is in the comments.

Before planting, the new field was cleared, subsoiled, we removed roots and large rocks, and then it was tilled and raked. After planting, each tree was straightened by hand and tamped. This clip is Gary raking AGAIN to prep for grass seed.
