Happy Father’s Day to the man who taught me to love Jesus, work hard, laugh often, and apparently believe that second place is just a really disappointing way to lose. 😂

Thank you for never missing a game, pushing me to always do my best, supporting every dream I’ve ever had, and instilling in me an extremely healthy level of competitiveness (some might say excessive…those people are quitters). You also passed down your elite talents of crying during movies and your love a good dad joke.

Thank you for always showing up, loving big, serving others, and reminding us what a faithful husband, father, and follower of Christ looks like.

Love you, Dad. And if you’re crying while reading this, just know I inherited that from you too.

He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, it was always either insightful or guaranteed to make you laugh. He taught me more than I could ever put into words, but the most important lesson was this: put God first, family second, and be patient with everything else.

And, of course, he shared a little golf wisdom along the way: “Driving is for show, but putting and chipping is for dough.”

My daddy has always told me how beautiful I am on the inside and out. When you’re young, words are powerful. You believe what your parents say about you. Happy Father’s Day to the first man who ever loved me. He always gave me all his free time, love, a listening ear, and a shoulder to cry on. Our days on the softball field are some of my fondest memories and ones I will hold onto forever. Our concerts that we go to will always be my favorite and I can’t wait for many more. My dad, Tommy Parrish taught me a love for family, sports, travel, and most importantly showed his love for Jesus! He is the best Dad, Grandad, and friend. He shows up for all the special events, including my recent retirement from Jasper City Schools! He is enjoying retirement by traveling, working in the yard and staying busy with my mom, his kids and grandkids! We celebrate him on Father’s Day and everyday! 💙 Julie
