Tip of the day:

Best thing for cleaning a glass cooktop....

Create a small mixture of Dawn dishwashing liquid and warm water. Apply it to the cooktop with a dishrag or sponge. Then... And this is the secret... Get a flat razor and run the razor blade perpendicular to the swiping motion until it's completely clean. First time may take two or three applications but when you see the results, it's worth it.

Tip of the day:

If you seem to be losing socks, especially if you have little ones, always load socks in your washer first. Then put your larger items in on top. This will prevent the socks from floating on top of the water and inadvertently being sucked into the pump and furthermore into your drain. It does happen.

TIP OF DAY:

If you're in the market for new appliances, please refrain from purchasing LG or Samsung products. If you want to buy a cell phone, TV, or other electronics, go for it... but major appliances from these brands are not for you, regardless of what Consumer Reports indicate. Also, if you plan on purchasing the Kenmore brand, make sure you ask who the manufacturer is. Kenmore is a brand of Sears and not a manufacturer. Most of their french door and bottom freezer models are produced by LG or Samsung.
