I am back in the office. Eve is doing much better. She is still 10lbs down from where she should be. All the vets (she was evaluated by three different vets at Southwest animal hospital) could point at is that she had Ehrlichia.

She is currently on Gabapentin 800mg, Doxycycline 300mg, Mirtazapin 15mg and Maropitant Citrate tablets.

I will continue to monitor her and hopefully her weight comes back up to the near 80lb range where she normally is.

Eve update:
She is up and moving around. Still a bit unstable with her walking. The only thing the vet could tell me as to why all this is happening is a possible tick bite. I am a bit hesitant to believe such. She is on Simparica Trio for fleas and ticks. All shots blah blah blah are up to date.

She is starting to eat again. Not like normal but positive progress is positive progress. She has gained almost a pound back. Still down 11 lbs. She is short winded but the x-ray show the lungs in good shape. Not much energy. We went for a walk today down to the school in taos and back and that was all she wanted. Last night she had her first accident in the house since she was a pup . All of this does not make any sense to me or the Vet. Please keep us in your prayers as she is not out of the woods yet and I am a mental mess.

Meadow Ridge will be closed today and possibly the rest of the week. Something has happened to Eve and I thought I was going to lose her this past weekend. As of yesterday, the Vet says everything looks good. Her heart, lungs, Intestine, Liver etc all look good per the X-Ray. There are a few blood test we are still waiting on and will possibly have the results today. She barely has enough strength to get up and walk around. She has lost 12lbs since her last appt. with the vet. She is not eating like she used to but is eating. Her drinking is regular.

As most of you know she is my baby girl. I must take care of her.

The test and tune was a success. I have no complaints. I have no concerns. There is very little left to do track wise. It is going to be a very fast track when it is completed. The 3" of rain and many laps is what the track was needing. There are a few areas that will require attention as I assumed there would be. We put alot of loose dirt on the track to get a bank all the way around and I assumed it would settle in a matter that we would have to tend to but better than I expected. Folks are already turning low 6 second laps and a handful were sub 6. I would like to thank Tommy Barker, Gary Phillippe, Jesse Craig and everyone that came out tonight. This is shaping up to be an awesome season. Don't miss out!

Just as a reminder, I will not be open for business Friday the 13th or Saturday the 14th. If if you would like to purchase something please use the website showmemohobbies.com and I will gather the items as soon as I get back in the shop.

Also starting next week. I will be closed Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays and be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Tuesday and Thursday hours will be 10 to 6 Saturday hours will be 10 to 4. We are getting close to race season and there is a lot of work that needs to be done at the track. I will be taking this extra time to do what needs to be done out there so we can get started racing as soon as we can.Thank you for your understanding.
