Now I get it 😂

Freezing Rain vs. Sleet.

What's the difference?

Freezing Rain:

Snow melts into rain high in the atmosphere, then freezes on contact with roads, trees, and power lines. This creates a smooth, clear glaze of ice, the most dangerous for travel and power outages.

Sleet:

Snow melts into rain, then refreezes before hitting the ground. It falls as tiny ice pellets that bounce when they land. Roads can get slick, but it's usually less damaging than freezing rain.

Bottom line:

Freezing rain coats everything in ice.
Sleet is icy pellets that pile up.

STAY HOME AND SAFE ♥️
