Manda's Crafty Corner I’m Amanda. I am the crochet pattern designer and product maker of Manda's Crafty Corner. I also offer a variety of crochet classes to kids and adults.

While I can make any custom order, I love making extra large shawls and wraps. My current classes are Basic Beginner Crochet and Intermediate Crochet. I am also in the process of putting together two more classes: "In The Round" and "Amigurumi Basics".

I started a Discord server (a year ago actually), and I'd love for it to grow into a whole Yarniverse, some place to share projects, ask questions, and just hang out with other crocheters. I’d also love to host regular video chats.

One thing I've learned is that even when your hobby becomes your job, it's good to have another hobby that's just for you.

Most of you know I own a crochet business, so I crochet almost every day and truly love it. But when I'm not crocheting, I love spending time in my kitchen canning.

On Tuesday, I picked up a half bushel of peaches. Today, I made 7 pints of peach jam, 7 pints of dark rum peaches, and 7 pints of coconut rum peaches. I also pulled out my cranberries and made 14 quarts of cranberry juice. About four hours later, my pantry is a little fuller, my kitchen is a little messier, and I'm one happy girl.

Does anyone else have a hobby outside of their work hobby? I'd love to hear what you enjoy doing when you're not working!

They don’t tell you that you aren’t subjected to a 9-5 job when you own your own business. I brought my work to the back deck so I can enjoy the weather, watch tv and work all at the same time. The breeze feels so nice. Is anyone else outside this evening?
