MEET US MONDAY: COMMUNITY
Yarn Works is all about community (and yarn!), and this was highlighted in such a FUN way on Saturday - we were part of an AMAZING RACE! One of our Yarn Works community members put together a 40th birthday Amazing Race for a good friend, and coming to the shop and knitting to Lynn's satisfaction was one of the race stops! HOW FUN IS THAT? Amid many laughs, all 4 teams met the challenge before racing off to their next stop.

And that, to me (Jean), is a huge part of what makes Yarn Works such an AMAZING PLACE! We focus on yarny crafts, but Lynn is so committed to community that it raises this Amazing Place beyond the level of LYS to LYCommunity.

Thank you, Lynn, for building such a great community AND offering us fabulous yarn. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the Birthday Boy!
And thanks to the race organizer for letting us photo, film, and post!

We have new yarn in the shop! Woo hoo! This Alp Natural worsted-weight novelty yarn from Feza has variation in texture, as well as in color and tone. It is so cool! 😎

I've not had much time to look for a project for it, but do you know where to go for inspo? Check out Ravelry's project page for this specific yarn to see what other knitters and crocheters have made with it:

Mark your calendars!

Happy Friday! We have officially set the date for 2027 yarn crawl! Crazy but true!
We moved the date to a week later in August to avoid back to back yarn crawls for some of the shops. And for those with kids or teach to adjust to school schedules!
We now have a website! But, it is a work in progress!
And can you guess why the creepy graphics? Are you superstitious?
We hope to see you next year!
