Several years ago, I was able to do my part in getting a washer to someone that couldn't afford even a used washer. A elderly woman on a fixed income at the end of the month. David ardoin the owner of Sears at the time, donated a used washer with a minor problem, I made the necessary repairs, loaded it on my truck, with the assistance of the honorable Steve Gunnell unloaded the washer installed and it worked flawlessly, the look on this lady's face when I told her no charge, it was basically a gift from the town of Jennings because many people were involved in getting this washer to her.
BEST part it was Christmas eve
1 the person that gave up the washer
2 David Ardoin hand picked a good used washer with only a minor problem
3 Steve Gunnell to happen to just be driving by at the right time and helped me to unload the washer and bring it in
4 even though I cannot remember this customers name, she gave me a unforgettable story, to tell and a joyous memory
The work that I do, repairing appliances, is challenging and rewarding, but that Christmas eve I will never forget
