The gallery opened in 1988 and is now known as one of the premier destinations in Jerome. Raku Gallery was named such for the Zen translation of 'raku' meaning ease, enjoyment, contentment, pleasure and happiness. The gallery now represents over 200 artists predominately from the Southwest. Kurt and Lynette Ammann, have lived in the area since 2003 and bring fresh, new energy to the gallery. Originally from South Africa, they have and are still involved in a winery, award winning vinegars, a country inn, and retail.
