Pictured are two doppis, which are hats traditionally worn by Uzbek & Uyghur people.

Way back when, Turkic nomads had multiple tribes - Uzbeks & Uyghurs were both part of the “Karluk” tribe which is why we so many similarities with our textiles, food, and language!

Hoping one day that I’m able to see where my grandparents grew up & visit a free and independent East Turkestan 🥲 Inshallah
