As always - the air conditioning system in the shop is broken every summer. Temps are expected to hit 95 today and we have large glass windows that make the inside of the store 15 degrees hotter than outside. We will stay open as long as we can today but I cannot subject our staff or customers to dangerous indoor temperatures. Unfortunately we cannot reschedule our final day, as the new tenant has begun moving in before we’ve even moved out. Call before you come to double check whether we are open. 551-373-3646.

Twilight Thrift Shop is Hiring!

We are seeking to add a new member to our staff who has the following skills and experience:

Retail and customer service experience, a strong attention to detail, an interest in thrifting, sustainability, and secondhand goods, some general knowledge of online shopping platforms like eBay and Mercari, a valid NJ driver's license and ability to move and lift small furniture like end tables and chairs as well as operate a small U-Haul and navigate via GPS - and bilingual English / Spanish (but will also consider English / Arabic speaking candidates). Availability week days 10am - 6pm and weekends 11am - 6pm. $16-$18 per hour with commission and bonus opportunities. 20-32 hours per week.

Life got a little hectic but we are back to picking up donations for the store! If you have items you need gone- we will come get them (within reason). To schedule a pickup, simply email [email protected] and you will receive an auto reply with details about what we will and will not take, and a form to schedule. We are also opening our schedule again for Estate sales, and clean outs. Email for pricing and details. As always, we are not a non profit, but your unwanted items support a real local business that keeps 3 other independent shops in business and employs three more! And as always, you can drop off any time we are open at 2845 John F Kennedy Blvd in Journal Square!
