🍂 Coming to Jim Thorpe for Fall Foliage 2026? Save this Parking Guide. 🍂
Parking gets busy in the fall, but there are 8 options depending on whether you want to park downtown or take a shuttle in:
Carbon County Municipal Lot
Main lot by the train station. $25/day Sat, Sun & holidays. Pay by kiosk, Flowbird or text.
Broadway Street Parking
Metered parking toward the Opera House. 5-hour limit. Fri-Sun: $2 cash / $2.50 card per hour. Don’t back into the spots.
Immaculate Conception Parish
Available Sept. 26-27, October weekends & Nov. 1. $25 cash / $28 ParkMobile. Opens 11am. No shuttle.
West Broadway Lot, 375 W. Broadway
Available Sept. 26-27, October weekends & select November weekends. $30 cash per car. No shuttle.
Mauch Chunk Lake Park
$40/car + shuttle into town. Reserve in advance. Drops off near the Opera House.
Sam Miller Field, 122 North Avenue
$20 cash/car. Available Oct. 3-4, 10-11 & 17-18. Shuttle to the Opera House area.
Pocono Whitewater, 1519 Route 903
Every Sat & Sun in October. $5 round trip/person. Kids under 5 ride free. Drops off at 30 River Street.
Whitewater Rafting Adventures, 101 W. Adventure Trail
Every Sat & Sun in October. $20/car with continuous shuttle service into Jim Thorpe.
🚂 Coming from the Reading area? You can skip driving altogether. Reading & Northern is running 2026 Fall Foliage train excursions into Jim Thorpe from Reading Outer Station and Port Clinton. Park, take the train downtown, explore, then ride back.
Fall Foliage weekends have a lot of moving parts, so double-check parking, shuttle schedules and reservations before you leave.
