Howdy! September is upon us, officially shifting us into our fall events season (in spirit, if not in temperature). This month we have our usual book club meet-ups over at Johnson City Brewing Company's Walnut Street Taproom. "Books & Brews" will be convening tonight, September 1st at 6:30pm, to discuss "The Divining Season" by Gwendolyn Paradice.

Thursday, September 24th at 7pm, we'll be back at the taproom for our Q***r Book Club in collaboration with the Pride Community & Education Center to talk about Maria Reva's novel "Endling." Our book clubs are free and open to the public, new faces always welcome!

Lastly, on Monday, September 28th, we're quite excited to be tabling for a new literary event presented by the Bert C. Bach Written Word Initiative at ETSU. The "Tamara Sessions" will feature Appalachian writers speaking on their craft and is sure to appeal to anyone curious about the rich literary tradition of the region!

Gonna be honest, we're feeling the hump this week. But we do have our monthly book clubs coming up, which always guarantees a nice reprieve from the turmoil.

Tomorrow, August 27th, our q***r book club in collaboration with the Pride Community & Education Center will meet up at 7pm to discuss Lev Rosen's "Lavender House" over at Johnson City Brewing Company's Walnut Street Taproom.

Next Tuesday, September 1st at 6:30pm, our "Books & Brews" book club will be chatting "The Divining Season" by Gwendolyn Paradice, also at JCBC's Walnut Taproom. Join us for one or both, new faces always welcome! 📚✨

It's the weekend again! And did you know it happens to be ? 😍😍 We have a selection of romantic titles to appeal to every type of reader, including the brand-spankin' new volume of "Heartstopper", all available over at our good old book nook inside The Generalist in downtown JC.

We're slowing it down for July to really soak in the lowkey summer vibes and that means book clubs! 😎 Books & Brews meets up at Johnson City Brewing Company's Walnut Taproom on Tuesday, July 7th at 6:30pm to discuss "When Women Were Dragons" by Kelly Barnhill. Then, weather permitting, Q***r Book Club in collaboration with the Pride Community & Education Center will meet up at Powell Square Park on Thursday, July 30th at 7pm to chat about "The Deep" by River Solomon.

It's a stacked week!

First up, we've got our monthly q***r book club meeting this Thursday, June 25th at 7pm over at Johnson City Brewing Company's **Walnut taproom** to discuss this month's read "Lucky Day" by our favorite q***r-comedy-horror aficionado Chuck Tingle. Then, we'll be set up for Pride Community & Education Center's Rainbow Festival on Saturday, June 27th over at The Philosopher's House with a great selection of books to add to your TBR piles! You might snag a fun sticker or two while you're at it.

And, hey, you might've heard there's a big sale going on that offers products at unbelievable prices because this company does everything it can to undermine local, independent retailers all in the name of corporate greed, but what if we told you there's an even better sale going on that supports your favorite independent bookstores??
