Dan’s Homemade Candies is the second longest running business in Joliet, opening its doors in 1919. After having three previous owners, Dan’s is now currently owned and operated by the Nelson family in Joliet. Five of six sisters work side by side to bring you some of the finest gourmet chocolates, made from real ingredients, and real chocolate! While some confectionery stores offer you chocolate

flavored items, Dan’s brings you the real deal! Our selections include homemade caramels, English Toffee, cream centers in many varieties, Dandies (pecan and caramel), as well as sugar free selections and truffles, just to name a few! Dan’s offers a large selection of solid, molded items in white, milk and dark chocolate, for every day, holidays, or special events. By using only Jonathon apples we create a sweet and tart flavor combination that people crave all year round- sorry, they are only available once a year! The Christmas season is a flurry of chocolate molds; from chocolate suckers, to a solid Christmas tree or Santa, a toy soldier or snowman, you’re bound to find something that will fill everyone’s Christmas stocking. We also have many different assorted boxes to choose from for every sweet tooth on your Christmas list. Valentine’s Day offers heart shaped boxes filled with your favorite selection of candy. Or, choose from pre-packed varieties along with many solid chocolate molds to choose from. Easter is springing with chocolate eggs and baskets in different sizes and colors, filled with your favorite Dan’s candy pieces. Today is the big day! Love is in the air and most of the bridges are broken. So today we are open at both locations to serve Joliet! East side of town no problem we are here at 229 East Cass Street from 9 until 5:30 and west at 1003 Plainfield Road 9-5:30 as well. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day

we have full and part time positions available and seasonal. if you or someone you know is interested in making candy all day come in and fill out an application at 229 East Cass Street or 1003 Plainfield Road Joliet both are on rt 30.

We have caramel apples until Halloween but if you have a taste for something else we are making toffee. This is one step in the process, next is the chocolate bath and finished in crushed almonds.
