Born when I took my broken skateboards, and made lamps with them. I did this a few years ago when I was working as On Board Life. On Board has been an umbrella to many things in my life. What started as an outlet selling skateboards, in 2007-08, has evolved into an outlet of purpose and repurpose. the broken carries the idea that what has been broken, used and abused, still has purpose. passes everything I make now. Even the new products have something that's repurposed in them. It may be small but the repurposed material has just as much worth. What was useless, actually is not. There is a theme here, and this is just the tip of the broken iceberg. This is part of refocusing my life and creating a positive purpose. 10% of every sale goes directly for the cause of rebuilding a person or family in need. A local recovery group, a women's shelter, a group that provides needs for the homeless etc. There is hope and there is help. "For the Lord is close to the broken hearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" Psalm 34:18
