(1) Why can’t Yoda be outside

(2) What was the actual complaint

(3) Who are the two people who complained.

When I was told
Yoda had to come inside immediately, I wrote down names and phone numbers of who to contact that can confirm Yoda was indeed approved.

I placed a sign on Yoda that said ‘two people complained and want me inside’. Sometime later a photo (not us) was taken, placed on social media and p**f, the story begins.

(1). Why can’t Yoda be outside?

Items placed outside a business must be approved and insured. Including signs, chairs, etc. I told the gentleman Yoda was approved 2 years prior.

(2). What was the actual complaint?

The Lollipop Shop was never told what the two people who complained were complaining about.

(3). The most asked question to this day-Who are the two people who complained?

I (The Lollipop Shop) NEVER asked who the two people were.

So, how is this connected to taped recordings that saved Yoda??

The meeting I referenced 2 years prior to all of this about Yoda being talked about and approved was a
Recorded meeting. Last August, people gathered to listen to the tapes. The tapes confirmed Yoda approval to be outside.

As the owner of The Lollipop Shop, I have never told this side of the story. I enjoy the 99.9% support of Yoda and am thrilled daily seeing the public interacting and taking photos with the Jonesborough Yoda!!

It was fun working with the town of Jonesborough to come to an agreement about Yoda. It’s what makes small towns the best. Working together.
