🌻 Favorite Photo of the Month 🌻

Watching my sunflowers grow has been one of the most exciting, rewarding, and satisfying parts of this summer. It’s amazing to think that these beautiful blooms started as tiny seeds buried in the dark ground, unseen and full of potential.

This was also the sixth time I planted sunflowers with my class—and for the first time, they actually grew! 🌱 After years of trying, I never gave up, and seeing them bloom has made every attempt worth it.

Sunflowers have always meant more to me than just a pretty flower. They’re the logo and inspiration behind Summer Girl, representing warmth, hope, resilience, and the belief that beautiful things grow with time and care. Seeing these blooms this year makes that meaning even more special.

These flowers have become so much more than something beautiful in my yard. They’re a gentle reminder that growth and change take time. We all have seasons where it feels like nothing is happening, but beneath the surface, roots are forming, strength is building, and something beautiful is taking shape.

For me, these sunflowers have become a symbolic representation of the growth I’ve achieved and the growth I continue to pursue. Every challenge, every setback, every lesson has helped shape who I am—and just like these blooms, the best things often take patience.

So here’s your reminder today: 🌻 Keep growing. Keep believing. Keep facing the light. Even when you’re planted in the dark, it doesn’t mean you’ve stopped growing. Your season to bloom is worth the wait. 💛

The way you look at me completely melts my heart—I have never seen anyone look at another person the way you look at me. Thank you for being the person who helped me see my inner light and encouraged it to shine. You always push me to be my best, truest self, and you’ve always praised my mental strength while helping me realize the full potential of my physical strength, too. Through every high and low, through sickness, injuries, and health challenges, you have been my solid foundation. ☀️ One Year of Summer Girl & A Bright New Chapter! ☀️
Yesterday marked the summer solstice, and it was a deeply special day for me. Exactly one year ago, on the first day of summer, I officially launched my Summer Girl Square Site! 🪵✨🍷
This past year has been an absolutely wonderful journey, and I am so incredibly grateful for every single piece of support, every order, and every kind word from this amazing community. You all make crafting these wood and glass treasures so rewarding!
Because yesterday was so meaningful, I decided to completely unplug. I spent the day celebrating the first day of summer with my wonderful husband and our sweet fur babies—and of course, we had to celebrate with an Almond Joy flavored Creami! 🥥🍫🍦 I also got entirely organized, meal planning and prepping for the week ahead so I’m completely ready for our very last week of summer school! 📝🥦
We also spent the day honoring and celebrating the incredible fathers in our lives—both those who are right here with us, and of course, my guardian angel dad who is watching over us from heaven. 🕊️✨
Today, I want to send a big, warm, sunny welcome to my absolute favorite season... SUMMER! ☀️
And speaking of a new season, Summer Girl has been up to some BIG things behind the scenes! I’ve been working hard on some fresh ideas, and I am so excited to expand the Summer Girl world in ways I’ve been dreaming about for a long time. 🤫✨

5 years married and 11 years together with my best friend and the love of my life. ❤️

I am so unbelievably blessed and grateful for the life we’ve built together. Through every high and every low, you have been by my side, and I truly wouldn’t have it any other way. I am so incredibly proud of our journey and all that we have accomplished together.

Thank you for always pushing me to be the best version of myself, reminding me that better days are ahead when life gets tough, celebrating both the small and big victories, and being my partner through every adventure life brings our way.

I am especially proud of us for taking a leap of faith and moving to a new place that we now proudly call home with our amazing fur babies. Watching us grow together over the last 11 years has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.

Here’s to 5 wonderful years of marriage, 11 amazing years together, and a lifetime still ahead of us. I love you more than words can say. 💕✨

As I enter this next year of my life and celebrate another birthday, I’m reminded to pause and take in the quiet beauty around me—just like the stars above. Gratitude for the life I’ve been given, intention for the path ahead, and appreciation for both the big and small moments. Nurturing my relationship with myself continues to shape how I show up for everything and everyone else. It’s been a journey of grace, joy, and learning this past year launching my first business—Summer Girl!
