📖 STORYTELLING FESTIVAL WEEKEND IS HERE! ✨

Jonesborough is about to be BUSY! 🌎📖

The International Storytelling Festival is bringing visitors from all over the country and around the world to the Storytelling Capital of the World, with around 10,000 people expected in town this weekend!

That means there’s going to be an incredible energy downtown… but it also means parking is going to be limited. 🚗

There is parking available throughout town, but with thousands of visitors arriving, finding a spot right near Main Street may be difficult. You may need to park a little farther away and take a short walk into downtown.

Our biggest advice? Give yourself some extra time and come prepared for a busy weekend! ❤️

And of course, Fern & Fable is extending our hours for the festival! ✨

📣We want to ask you something BIG. 👀✨

Over the past year, we have received SO much love and support from this community. We’ve also had people from all over come through our doors and tell us that Fern & Fable is on their bucket list, that they’ve been wanting to visit, or that they’re planning their trip around coming to see us.

That kind of feedback has honestly been so humbling and has fueled us.

It has made us want to expedite the dream and really start working toward building Fern & Fable into what we’ve always envisioned it could be.

Because deep down, we know there is so much more we could create.

We don’t want Fern & Fable to simply be a store people visit.

We want it to be a fully immersive storybook destination. 🌿📖✨

The problem is, our vision has grown far beyond what the real estate in downtown Jonesborough allows us to do.

So imagine Fern & Fable being 10 times bigger than it is now, built in phases and designed from the beginning around the experience.

☕️ A full tea shop themed as cozy tavern

📚 A much larger book & magical gift shop.

🧪 A dedicated, fun potion making room

🪄 A bigger space for our full wand choosing experience

🐉 Immersive fantasy spaces inspired by not only Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, but Narnia and whatever else our imaginations can dream up.

🗝️ One or two immersive escape rooms

🎭 An indoor stage for storytelling, performances and live entertainment

🎲 Indoor space for D&D nights, book clubs, workshops, classes and parties

🔥 Outdoor and Indoor gathering spaces with seating, games, music and seasonal events.. even an outdoor firepit.

And most importantly, room to keep dreaming. ✨

A place where you could spend an entire afternoon.

Have tea. Browse books. Choose a wand. Make a potion. Explore. Play. Gather with friends. Attend an event. Or simply escape everyday life for a little while.

We want people to walk through the doors and feel like they’ve stepped into another world.

And yes, there’s a BIG catch.

It wouldn’t be downtown Jonesborough.

We’re looking at a possible location roughly 12 to 15 minutes away in the Boones Creek area. 🚗

That means Fern & Fable would become a destination you intentionally drive to.

So we want to ask you something:

Would you follow Fern & Fable? 🌿✨

Would you make that 15 minute drive if it meant experiencing something this much bigger?

Would you make Fern & Fable a destination all on its own?

We’re not announcing a move. Nothing is finalized.

We’re just trying to see what’s meant to be.

And if we’re going to do this…

We want to do it the way we’ve always imagined it.

Fully immersive.

Fully storybook.

As summer winds down and we head into our favorite cozy season, we’re starting to stock back up on some of our most popular herbal loose-leaf teas! 🌿✨

This one was a HUGE favorite earlier this year and completely sold out during the Christmas season. We just got more back on the shelf, so if you loved it before, now’s your chance to grab some!

🌸 PIXIE’S BLOOM will also be getting restocked this weekend. Another hot seller that never seems to stay on the shelf for long!

🎃 And NEW for fall… PUMPKIN SPICE CHAI!
Our newest seasonal blend will be arriving this week, just in time for the Pumpkin Festival and all those cozy fall evenings.

Just a quick heads up that Fern & Fable Collective will be CLOSED tomorrow, Saturday, September 5th as we head out for the Appalachian Celtic Festival! 🏰🌿

Instead of finding us in the shop, come find us in the Upper Lot at the festival! We’ll have a selection of our favorite goods with us, and we’d love to see some familiar faces. 💚
