GO ORDER for ALL visitors and residents in Oak Creek Canyon between Sedona and Forest Highlands. This evacaution does not include the community of Forest Highlands. This includes dispersed camping around West Fork and nearby areas above the Rim. EVACUATE NOW due to wildfire in the area.

Highlands Fire District Update 🔥
👀 We are aware of the visible smoke southwest of the district coming from the Pocket Fire.
✅ Current status: The fire is approximately 100 acres📏 and located 11 miles 📍 from the district.
Our firefighters and staff are actively monitoring the situation 👀 and remain in close communication. At this time, there is no immediate threat 🛡️ to our district, but we will continue to watch conditions closely.
What you can do:
- 🌬️ Keep windows closed if smoke is heavy in your area.
- 📲 Follow Highlands Fire District socials and local authorities for updates.
- 🧳 Have your go-bag ready as a precaution.
