PUBLIC NOTICE: REQUEST FOR INFORMATION REGARDING SUSPECTED THEFT INCIDENT

JULIAN, CA — Management at The Warm Hearth is requesting assistance from our community in identifying an individual in connection with a suspected theft incident at our store.

On Sunday, September 6, at approximately 3:13 PM, an individual accompanied by a young child entered The Warm Hearth. Surveillance footage appears to show the individual concealing multiple items of merchandise and damaging store locked security cases while helping himself to multiple knives.

The items described above are those we have been able to identify from our surveillance footage at this time. Additional merchandise may also be involved.

Retail theft creates a significant financial burden for independent, locally owned businesses. Following this incident, The Warm Hearth is actively reviewing and upgrading its security measures.

A report regarding this incident has been filed with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Anyone who recognizes the individual shown in the surveillance footage or has information regarding this incident is asked to contact The Warm Hearth directly. All communications will be kept confidential.

The individual involved is not permitted to return to The Warm Hearth. Any future unauthorized entry onto the premises will be reported to law enforcement immediately.
