I'm sitting having a birthday dinner with my wife Diane celebrating her 49th birthday ( she said she's 49 but we've been married almost 36yrs). Her fib so I'll follow along. I realize how lucky I am to do what I truly enjoy for a retirement. I don't fish or play golf. Like most of you I love guns and the people who share my passion. Mama walked back in yesterday after leaving us unsupervised for over a month, and the customers weren’t the only ones celebrating. I practically tackled her at the door. I finally have my partner in crime again, which means the shop is officially back to its full chaotic, friendly, family‑style energy.

Today’s her birthday, and if you’ve been part of this place for any amount of time, you know Diane has been the shop mom to half of Junction City. She remembers your faces, listened to years of life updates, watched folks grow up, watched families expand, and somehow keeps track of everyone like they’re her own.
