One of the challenges I ran into while designing this collection was how to highlight something that’s meant to be invisible. In traditional Japanese woodworking, much of the intricate detail is hidden in the joint itself, with only a faint seam visible from the outside. We ended up using contrasting metal color and finish to achieve a subtle contrast—just enough to let the joinery-inspired details shine ✨
