Rentalex is a full service rental company located in Kalamazoo, Michigan and servicing all of Southwest Michigan. We provide the best value by combining high quality items with excellent customer service. We realize that your event says a lot about you and are trained to work with you to make your corporate event, wedding, graduation or party unforgettable regardless of size or budget. We offer a

large selection of tents, tables, chairs, linens, china, and catering equipment. We are not just your average company who drops off your rentals and leaves. We can be as involved as you would like us to be, from free Consultations including site checks to full set up the day of the event , Rentalex is dedicated to making your event a success. Leave the details to us so you can enjoy yourself and your guests. Please ask if you do not see an item in stock that you need for your event. We will try to accommodate all requests or direct you to who can. Our tent rentals range from 10x10 to 40x140. We have solid white tents, clear top frame tent, as well as striped pole tents for every type of event. We can provide setup for any tent as well as provide smaller over the counter tents which you may set up yourself. They are professionally cleaned each season as well as between events to ensure top quality. Our chair rentals include a beige metal folding chair, a white metal folding chair, a white wood with pad, natural wood with pad, and a gold charvari chair with ivory pad. We also carry bar stools and high chairs. All of our higher end chairs come bagged for extra protection. Our table rentals include 6 ft banquet, 8 ft banquet, farm tables, round reception tables from 30 inches up to 72 inches as well as cocktail tables. We have linens to fit every size. Rentalex is equipped with emergency tents complete with heat, lighting, power, hard wood doors and no flap sidewalls which can be setup within 24 hours. Call for quote today!

Our story is built on nearly a century of experience, innovation, and a deep commitment to helping our customers succeed. It began in 1929, when Walter Krueger founded Krueger Machinery Co. in Saginaw, Michigan — laying the foundation for a family legacy rooted in quality equipment and dependable service. In the early 1970s, that legacy evolved when his son, Tom Krueger, introduced one of the first stand-alone equipment rental operations under the Associated Equipment Dealers (AED). This forward-thinking approach helped pioneer a more flexible way for contractors and businesses to access the tools they needed without the burden of ownership and played a role in shaping the modern rental industry.

By 1982, that vision became Rentalex, with the opening of the first location in Tampa, Florida. That growth continued in 2001 when Tom’s oldest son, Jeff Krueger, established the Kalamazoo, Michigan location, extending reach back into its home state. Originally focused on tools, equipment and basic party rental essentials, Rentalex quickly grew into a trusted partner for contractors, builders, event planners, and homeowners alike.

As our company expanded, so did our expertise. In 2015, our Michigan location shifted to focus exclusively on event rentals — bringing the same commitment to quality, reliability, and service to weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. This shift came from a deeper understanding of our local market and a desire to better serve our community while continuing to build on the strengths that have defined us for generations.

Today, we carry forward that legacy with the same values that started it all: reliability, expertise, and a customer-first mindset. Now under fourth-generation leadership, we combined decades of experience with a fresh vision for the future.

We’re proud to celebrate our Account Manager, Tia, on earning her CERP certification through the American Rental Association (ARA)!

CERP, or Certified Event Rental Professional, is a nationally recognized certification that demonstrates a professional’s knowledge of the event rental industry. Earning it requires education across areas like equipment, event logistics, operations, safety and customer service, giving certified professionals a deeper understanding of what it takes to execute a successful rental.

Why does that matter to our customers? Because great event rentals are about more than choosing items from a catalog. They’re about knowing what will work for your event, anticipating challenges, understanding the logistics and making informed recommendations along the way.

Tia’s certification is another reflection of our commitment to investing in our team and providing our customers with knowledgeable, experienced professionals they can trust.

From intimate gatherings to large corporate celebrations, we love bringing every detail to life. This company picnic was the perfect blend of casual, fun, and thoughtful details, like the logoed sugar cookies from .

Guests enjoyed delicious bites from Cluck & Moo Food Truck, cooled off with sweet treats from , and sipped on two signature cocktails: a refreshing Margarita and a Bourbon Smash.

A special thank you to Josh Ruihley for executing the event while I was away. He brought the vision to life exactly as I planned, and I’m so thankful for his help!
