I understand. We are all trying to get through this dreary, dark time. Standing tall with all of you.

Hello out there 🙂 How’s everyone doing? I’m in the shop today but to be honest I’m having a hard time focusing on work. It’s really hard to get on social media and try to sell supplies and pretend everything is normal right now when it most definitely is not.

I know it’s hard to feel powerful right now. And to know where to put our energy. So if you’re not sure, I hope you take some time today to make art.

Because making art is powerful. It’s protest and resistance and voice and revolutionary action.

I’m so thankful to be connected to so many of you, to be a supporter and supplier and convener and accomplice to so many powerful voices, so much important work. I’ll be here until at least 6 today. And I’ll be back tomorrow. And the day after that. And we will take it one day at a time together.

Standing tall with our downtown.

Much thanks to all the watercolor artists who bought the shop out of every block, pad, and sheet of Arches cold press over the past couple of weeks! Luckily the blocks are back in stock as of this afternoon and pads and sheets are on the way. There was a time not so long ago when I felt like buying one or two blocks felt like a big risk, so adding a big stack to the shelves out of necessity really is a nice change.
