I won't lie, I haven't been very motivated to make journals lately buuuttt I have this pile continuing to stare at me everyday so eventuallllllly I will get to it, at some point.
That's the joy of being creative.
Your creativity comes in waves and it's not always at high tide.
I sometimes feel annoyed with myself when I just can't will my body to do the things I need to do but then I remind myself I'm not a fu***ng machine and I'm not doing this to become a millionaire. I'm doing it because I genuinely love doing it and sometimes that means taking breaks.
It caused me to change my market schedule quite a bit this year. The last two years I spent every weekend doing markets and it led to such immense burn out that I lost the motivation to want to make art. Instead of being excited for markets, I started dreading them.
I decided that slowing down was the best option so I could continue to actually enjoy doing what I love 💕
My next markets will be in August with a few being super local to Kalamazoo ✨ hopefully by then I have some new stuff to show y'all and eventually will begin working on my top secret journal collection I've been sketching out
Also, I have no idea what's going on with the hashtags or the keyword stuff. Tbf I don't know much about social media and don't bother keeping up with the trends or algorithm changes but I have been seeing mostly just blurbs of keywords at the bottoms soooo here's some for y'all 💖
