Outreach At Storypoint: A Shopping Opportunity for Elderly Guests
Recently, our thrift store went mobile for a truly special outreach event. Both stores went out into the community, bringing the shopping experience to the guests of Storypoint, many of whom seldom shop for themselves.

We watched their faces light up as they browsed the racks to find an outfit for their summer prom. For some, it was the first time in years they could choose something just for themselves. This outreach reminded us that our thrift store is more than a shop—it’s a place where community is built, and thrifting becomes an impactful experience. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this opportunity possible, and we look forward to many more opportunities like these to impact our community in new ways.

KGM thrift stores are crucial in fueling our mission at the main building. Every item sold helps keep the lights on, fills empty plates, and brings hope to those who walk through our doors seeking refuge. Thanks to the generous outpouring of donations, our shelves remain full—but to turn these gifts into tangible support for our guests, we need compassionate hands to sort and display each contribution.
