Glacier Nursery, LLC Glacier Nursery, LLC is a wholesale supplier of hardy, premium grade nursery stock.

Brad and Desi Brown started Glacier Nursery in 1983 on twenty acres of prime Creston topsoil. During the early years they both had full-time jobs and worked at the nursery in evenings and on weekends. Using mostly hand labor they planted, watered, weeded, and harvested the first crops. Working together, and with the assistance of part-time high school employees they grew the nursery, providing full-time work for Brad and 12 to 15 year-round employees. From the very beginning the nursery was known for its hardy plants and its personal service as a family business — that tradition continues today. Today the nursery reflects the commitment of many people in addition to Brad and Desi. That commitment includes serving customers with quality plants and service, at a competitive price. For our employees we offer year-round work at competitive wages with substantial fringe benefits. Finally, we owe a great deal to those in the community that have assisted us in getting started, from past employees to the businesses who have remained valued suppliers for many years. We all look forward to continued improvement in the plants we sell, the commitment to our employees, and returning to our community the goodwill it has extended to us.

A lot has changed since 1983—but our roots are still the same.

Glacier Nursery was founded more than 40 years ago by Brad and Desi Brown with a commitment to growing quality, hardy plant material for our region.

Over the years, the nursery has grown and changed alongside the customers and communities we serve. What started more than four decades ago has become a wholesale nursery supplying trees, shrubs, perennials, and other plant material to landscape contractors and garden centers throughout Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas.

These photos offer a look back at where we started and how far we’ve come.

We’re proud of our history, grateful for the employees, customers, and industry partners who have been part of it, and excited to keep growing.

We blinked, and now it’s Autumn! 🍂

The crew has been working hard to trim, consolidate, and prepare the nursery for winter—while still pulling plants for our customers.

The week of October 5th will be our last week of shipping for the season. We’ll continue to pull plants for pickup orders until the plants are covered for winter, so there’s still time to get your plant orders in!

Thank you for another wonderful season. 🍁

We hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day!

We are almost done with our spring plantings.
There is still plenty of stock that is ready to ship now, and space available on weekly outgoing trucks.

Our second round of crop will start being available in mid June and July.
