I’m happy to have Treading Softly included in Wild: Woven and Felted at 4 Ravens Gallery in Missoula. The show opens Friday and celebrates fiber in many forms, with a variety of artists exploring just how creative this medium can be. If you are in the area, be sure to stop in!

I’m thrilled to share that my piece Stillness has been accepted into the Art in the West exhibit at the High Desert Museum in Bend, Oregon!

I love the grace and beauty of pronghorn. I’m honored to have this piece included in such a beautiful exhibition celebrating art of the High Desert and the West.

Stillness will be on view beginning Saturday, July 18, 2026. The exhibition and auction close Friday, October 2, 2026 at 7pm.

I’m so grateful and excited to be part of this show! Thanks to you all for being a part of my journey.

Thank you to my wonderful husband for yet another beautiful custom frame. This piece was created using both wet felting and needle felting, with layered fiber to build texture and depth.

How does a great art day begin? Working out next to my dog, Cheeto! She loves her treadmill. She would be so disappointed if I didn't exercise with her. She jumps onto it of her own free will and stays until she is done. So many days, she is the one who gets me to workout, but it always makes for a better day of art.

Cheeto was a street dog on the Blackfeet reservation. Some caring people there helped to get her to me. If you are looking for a new family member, Life Savers Animal Rescue out of Polson does a great job helping out dogs from both reservations. I know there is a pretty significant need right now for fosters and adopters.

Bighorn — 41" x 41"

Ready for a close encounter?

This life-size needle-felted wool portrait of a bighorn ram will be on display Thursday through Sunday at the Best of the West Show in Great Falls, Montana, at the Shonkin Center.

The piece is finished with a beautiful custom frame built by my husband specifically for the work. I've kept him pretty busy these last weeks!

The show features many outstanding artists, along with music and food throughout the weekend. If you're in the area, I hope you'll stop by and see him in person.

Treading Softly - Felted Painting

There is something so joyful about watching a dog playing in the water. It's almost instantly calming. I thought I would try to capture it in felt. This piece is needle-felted and wet-felted (three times!).
