Curley Que 2026 is 6 weeks away and filling fast. We are at 10 teams and only have room for 15. Chicken, ribs, pork and brisket are the four main categories. Ancillaries this year are dessert and seafood. This is a KCBS sanctioned event with the winner garnishing some amazing invites (see why the mainlanders come).

Curley Que brings together competition barbecue teams from Hawai’i and across the mainland on July 25th.

The Grand Champion of Curley Que 2026 will earn an automatic invitation to compete in two prestigious events, the American Royal World Series of Barbecue in Kansas City and the legendary Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

These two events are where the best of the BEST compete for the title of World Champion. We would love to see you there! 🤙🏻🍗🔥

Stopped by this evening to check out the site. We’ve got a super-sweet spot this year. Restaurant 604 is right next door and is easily one of the coolest bars on-island. Breakfast on Saturday starts around chicken turn-in. 🤣
