Happy Juneteenth.

Today we honor June 19, 1865—the day news of freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

Juneteenth is a day to reflect on our history, celebrate the strength and resilience of those who came before us, and recognize the progress made while continuing to pursue equality and opportunity for future generations.

May today be filled with education, celebration, family, community, and gratitude.
