The content of this book explores self and community-based advocacy, intersectionality, self-expression through art, and explores the unique experiences of coming of age for a black girl. Piercing me together is a Newberry Honor book and a Coretta Scott King Award winner. A great read for ages 12-18- heck even some adults would enjoy it. Check FB: Reading Tutor for book summary. 5/5

Someone inboxed me asking what books am I currently reading. Well I finally received this book from the library after being on the waiting list for months. Yes, I’m still a fan of the public library ☺️. Those that already read it, sound off in the comments and tell me what you think.

I’ve made the executive decision to expand Lots of Literacy to better serve my clients by upgrading my early childhood education to an masters degree in Elementary Education. This time I’m doing this FOR ME. Every degree I have I did it for somebody else. This may not make me money but my passion is for little ones always have always be.
