OPAL WAX Ecofriendly candle company that is 100% indigenous and queer-owned. After doing so, I realized how much waste was produced in the general candle market.

A few years ago, I bought my mother a candle to help her through the recovery process of some surgeries. Inspired by the joy the candle brought her, I wanted to make candles for my family and friends for Christmas that year. I wanted to create a better candle, one that could make a difference in the world. What sets us apart? 10% of profits are donated to a quarterly cause, and our candles are inc

redibly eco-friendly.

-Glass Jar: The jar is actually a cut-off wine bottle sourced from restaurants! After being cut, the jar is fire polished for smoothness. The jar is actually designed to be a drinking glass after use, but can be used for other purposes as well, or simply recycled as you would a wine bottle.

-Wax: The wax is 100% soy wax, made from U.S. grown soybeans.

-Wick: Made from cotton and paper, they are coreless and do not include zinc or lead like other wicks.

I couldn’t do any craft shows this year. There have been some fantastic groups putting on craft shows around here, but you can’t sniff candles during a pandemic! I make more than 90% of my sales at craft shows, so this has really hurt.
