This beauty, Meadow Beauty (Rhexia interior), will be added to our inventory for this weekend. This adorable flower from the Ozarks may not be for every yard - it needs moist, well-drained soil. But if you have those conditions this plant is a fun addition to attract bumblebees.

We need your help naming our newest garden that was installed last year along Noland Rd. Currently we refer to it as the Noland Road garden, but we feel it has way more character than that. We also considered calling it the "Huh?" garden because as we were planting it our conversations often got lost in the noise of the cars. But again that doesn't capture its beauty, with its multiple species of Echinacea that have been blooming for months, several allium species popping in front, blazing stars that are starting to show their magic, and aromatic aster that is patiently holding its showcase for later.

Lots of people were admiring the snow on the mountain (Euphorbia marginata) in the Mulberry Rain Garden last weekend. This annual beauty migrated from the Gnomeville garden across the yard but we're letting it do its thing here as several of the plants in this garden are still getting established. It catches the eye from across the yard and draws you in. We're loving it.

More black swallowtail action! We watched this beauty laying eggs on our potted Zizia (could this be the same butterfly we saw hatch last week?). Then we went and found one of the eggs she laid. As we were egg hunting we also found a baby black swallowtail cat - it's so tiny! How adorable!
