This piece was a project for a dear friend. She sent me photos of the dogs from childhood until now! I did these in a different style than I have done most of my other work. I really enjoyed playing with this style and seeing how to fit all the dogs together cohesively.

Self-Esteem September is here! I almost deleted this post so many times, but Dolly encouraged me to be and love myself- so here we go!

You may be thinking “Kelly, how the heck is this related to your art? Can’t you just show me pictures of cute animals and funny puns?”

The stories I tell myself are deeply tied to my belief in myself as worthy, especially as an artist who deserves to be supported. There’s no point in putting myself and my work out there if I don’t truly believe that my art is worth seeing, having, or owning!

I’m fighting the internal narrative that I should give up when I’ve barely gotten started, and I’d love your support and company on this journey. Maybe we can rewrite some of the tall tales you’ve created about your own self together along the way!

Winnie is a physically disabled good girl who was adopted from KC Pet Project. She is the love of her person’s life (sounds like a heart dog to me!!).

This sticker was a surprise gift for Winnie’s person and will be a cherished reminder of her best pal throughout her day. 💕
