I think I took for granted that I had people around me who helped make Mother's Day special for me when my kids were too little to do it on their own. Does that sound familiar?

💜💙As you may know, several years ago, I was asked to served on the Board of Directors for Hope Haven of Cass County. Until then, I didn't even realize we *had* a domestic violence shelter here. During the 4 years I served, however, I saw just how tragically our community is affected by domestic violence. I saw how many hundreds of moms were served each year. I saw how much these women gave up and did without to keep their children and themselves safe. I saw what hard decisions they had to make in HOPE of a better future.

💗But I also got to see how the smallest things made a huge difference in these women and mommas' lives.💗
