Growing up I never said "I want to be a balloon artist." Turns out I did, but it just took me a while to figure that out. One day, my daughter and I were out shopping and I found a kit on how to make basic balloon animals. On a whim I picked it up along with a couple hundred balloons. By the time my husband got home from work I was out of balloons and desperate for more. Two days later someone sai
d "I'll pay you to do that" for an event they were planning and at that moment Oh Wow!! It's been 13 years and we've gone from basic balloons learned from a kit to complex and original designs. We've even written several pattern books. I say we, because it's not just me anymore. The whole family has gotten in on the fun. My daughter who was with me that day has since finished her master's degree but she still enjoys twisting balloons and will work parties when they come up. While we focus on entertainment we also do decor. For the past 4 years we've chosen to only use biodegradable latex balloons and air filled decor instead of helium. Balloons on a string are something everyone's seen – we don't want to do that. We want to create something that makes you say "Oh wow!!"
